Why We Built MyKuya? — A Message to All Filipinos | MyKuya

Updated: Oct 2, 2020

To Each & Every Filipino,

Mabuhay sa inyong lahat!

While we have been enjoying steady economic growth, which is apparent when visiting the central business districts, we have forgotten the people at the base of the pyramid. Imagine communities that could flourish if they had the chance to be connected to this growing value chain; and women who deserve equal opportunities just like anyone else. Isn’t that something to be proud of? The great news is that we can make that a reality! We can build and support community-centered services to provide opportunities for those who deserve it and empower them to be a better version of themselves.

My entire adult life was spent here. While studying at Mapua University, I fell in love with the Philippines and its people. Aside from the beauty of the country with even more beautiful people who work so hard to provide for their families and every day push themselves to build a better life, what has captivated me the most is that despite difficulties of life, there is an unbreakable chain of unity between the communities and I believe this is called bayanihan. I cannot imagine myself being anywhere else but here.

We have always looked at social causes such as poverty alleviation, female empowerment, and education as key issues that were worth solving and I believe anyone can be part of the solution. We believe that we can make this country a better place. For countless hours, we worked on a new service platform built right here in the Philippines for the Philippines, that provides opportunities to anyone who wants to work, and will be honored based on merit, skills and grit. Bayanihan was the inspiration behind the creation of MyKuya, our latest innovation at Machine Ventures.

Our mission with MyKuya is clear: To be a mobile app that each and every Filipino benefits from. We want to create 1 million job opportunities for the people by the people.

I am incredibly proud in what our team at Machine Ventures has created and we believe that success will not be for us to steer alone. We are calling on all those who believe in what we are advocating and want to get involved to reach out!

a) Businesses, Entrepreneurs and Government Agencies: If you are a business who wants to contribute to nation building, a government agency who wants to provide opportunities for citizens then please reach out to us at hello@mykuya.com

b) Careers: If you are looking to work with us on this mission to make this happen, please apply at Our Career Pages

c) Sharing This Message: If you believe in what we are trying to do, simply sharing this message with your friends and family over social media will be extremely helpful! There are moments in life where one feels that they are on the verge of something truly transformational; moments when a single event will trigger a ripple effect that will change the world as we know it; moments when the very fabric of life as we know it will be strengthened. This is what we at Machine Ventures live for.

With your help, we all can make this happen. The future of the Philippines is in the making right now!
